Amy is currently in the role of VP of Innovation, Technology & Quality for General Mills Global Baking platform and the ASLA segment. In this role, Amy has accountability for leading product development, technology & quality in support of GMI’s global baking businesses in both retail and away from home. Amy also has strategic oversight for GMI’s business in Asia and Latin America.
Amy has a broad experience base in product development, engineering and business leadership. She began her career at GMI in 1989 as an engineer managing capital projects for GMI’s Big G and Cereal Partners Worldwide cereal businesses. Amy’s R&D experiences include product development and R&D Business Leadership positions in Snacks, Big G Cereals and Strategy and Innovation. She also had a cross-functional role as Director of Engineering, Controls and Information Systems, and then returned to R&D as Director for GMI’s International division, where she was accountable for leading the Minneapolis based R&D team that supported product development activities for GMI’s product portfolio outside the U.S. including the global snacks, dough, dry mix, Meals and Häagen-Dazs businesses. Amy also served as R&D Director in G-TECH, GMI’s Center for Technology creation where she had accountability for leading the Product and Process Research team. This team lead the creation and delivery of breakthrough enabling technologies designed to deliver top line growth, new consumer benefits, and bottom line productivity across General Mills’ manufacturing platforms. In 2012, Amy served as the R&D director for our Baking division, supporting brands such as Betty Crocker, Bisquick and Gold Medal. In 2013, Amy assumed ITQ leadership for our Convenience and Foodservice business, serving our business in schools, convenience stores, restaurants and other foodservice channels across the GMI portfolio of products. In 2015, Amy assumed a combined role leading the Baking platform in support of our domestic retail business along with continuing to lead ITQ for the Convenience and Foodservice segment.
