Daniel Carlton - Consultant


For almost 10 years, Daniel has worked at the intersection of performance, research, and civic engagement, using theater to delve, highlight, and challenge hidden barriers to global progress. As a playwright and director, he has staged dozens of real life stories on the impacts and interconnectedness of free trade and migration at home and abroad. Daniel has also appeared as an actor on professional stages nationally and internationally.

As an educator, he has created and facilitated arts and project-based curriculum for schools and cultural institutions around the world. He is the 2014 - 2016 Teaching Artist in Residence at the Brooklyn Arts Exchange, where he directs a social justice performance program for teens. Their current work exploring biases,“A Seat at the Table,” will tour NYC throughout spring 2016.
