Emily Puetz is passionately committed to transforming educational systems and developing educational leaders who are equipped to adapt to changing needs of our students, our communities and our world. She has spent more than 20 years working on all sides of the learning continuum – as a classroom teacher, district administrator, researcher, business entrepreneur, and charter school designer, and in a variety of cities – Chicago, Boston, Atlanta and Minneapolis. Emily has worked across 35 school districts in Minnesota delivering keynote presentations, leading training, and facilitating problem solving on issues to related to leadership and change. Most recently, Emily served as the Chief Academic Officer of the Minneapolis Public Schools, where she worked collaboratively to increase the overall graduation rate by 10%, increase the number of black students reading by 3rd grade by 12%, and increase the number of students ready for kindergarten by 14%. Emily holds both her Bachelors and a Masters degree from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a Masters degree from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota.
