Julie Hurbanis - Consultant
Julie has 20 years of public relations and integrated marketing leadership experience, working with corporate and nonprofit clients. Prior to joining World Savvy, she led the Consumer Marketing practice in Weber Shandwick's Minneapolis office where she and her team helped engage key constituents in organizations' missions and brands. For eight years, Julie led the agency's pro bono program. She served two terms on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House of the Twin Cities, and provided communication strategy for Faith's Lodge, a north woods retreat for families who have a critically ill child or a child who has died.
In 2005, she was named one of 40 up-and-coming business leaders under the age of 40 by the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal.
Julie has a bachelor of science degree from DePauw University, and a passion for travel. She began her career teaching English in Japan, where she spent a year in junior high classrooms. Since then, she has had the opportunity to explore more than 30 countries.
