Julie Krohn - Consultant
Julie is an experienced, passionate teacher currently working as a Curriculum, Instruction and Student Support Services Coordinator in Burnsville Public Schools in Minnesota. She is a part-time Professional Development consultant with World Savvy. She has experience as a pre-K - 12 classroom and EL teacher, an instructional coach, a professional development specialist and a curriculum & equity coordinator in K-12 systems.
Julie's expertise in providing coaching & training to teachers in the areas of co-teaching, formative assessments, ESL best practices, PLC work and culturally responsive pedagogy allow her to support World Savvy teachers in continuing contract districts. Her hands-on sessions allow for World Savvy teachers to immediately implement practical strategies & engaging lessons for ALL students.
Her educational philosophy follows that of Maria Montessori who believed that children learn to “think critically, work collaboratively & act boldly” in their communities. Julie finds these skills necessary in helping students and teachers prepare for the future.
