Over our 16-year history, World Savvy has identified critical elements of our approach to ensure that schools can deeply and sustainably integrate global competence into teaching, learning, and culture. In the Strategic Plan period, we anticipate the following impact from our work with students, teachers, and school leaders.
As a result of our work with students:
will demonstrate empathy in their understanding of a significant global issue and in the development of solutions.
will demonstrate enhanced capacity to use multiple perspectives in the service of designing a solution to a global issue.
will demonstrate the skills necessary to collaboratively develop a solution to a global issue.
As a result of our work with teachers:
will increase their ability to integrate global competencies into their curriculum.
will increase their ability to integrate problem solving and student action taking into their curriculum.
will demonstrate the following:
An increased ability to develop and implement student action projects more than once a year.
An increased ability to integrate student collaboration, empathy, and critical thinking into their curriculum.
An increased ability to work with students to design a learning environment that is welcoming and supportive to all students.
As a result of our work with schools:
will design and implement structures and systems that support the implementation of student action projects (K2A).
will develop a school culture that is welcoming to all students, fosters global citizenship, and empowers students as leaders.
