For this student, exploring identity meant investigating and embracing the progress that the current generation has made towards accepting people who are not the majority, based on their race, class, gender or sexuality. To further understand the philosophy and ideas of adolescents on the topic of gender, this student interviewed a number of classmates to gather their their diverse perspectives, values, and beliefs. The result of the interviews work and the message this student wants to share with the world is creatively captured in these portraits

Food security is a major challenge especially felt in large urban centers. Food deserts are global challenge impacting health and population on a large scale. This artwork grew out of the research around food deserts and seeking local solutions through mobile fresh food markets.
Students researched rare Earth element mining used for electronic devices such as iphones and learned how it is affecting people's health and the health of the environment. They created this visual art piece to demonstrate environmental pollution as a result of mining for rare earth elements.
