Cait Wherry

Caitlyn is a political science student at Yale University who hails from California. Caitlyn discovered her enthusiasm for hunger advocacy while volunteering at a local soup kitchen, but, as an alumna of the 2014 AYLP in Peru, it was her experience with World Savvy that first sparked her interest in food policy. Since then, she has developed Cultivate Modesto, a social startup focused on instituting sustainable food and nutrition education in elementary schools, and has delved into coursework in European politics and food justice.

When not in the classroom, Caitlyn is an avid writer, traveler and farmer’s market junkie.
