Cay Adams Kimbrell

Cay is driven to improve how our education systems support the dreams and aspirations of traditionally marginalized students and families. She is currently facilitating a project of the Minneapolis Foundation and Joyce Foundation to elevate the voice Minnesota’s principal workforce and increase school leader efficacy. She is also serving in a strategic support role to the national CEO of College Possible. In her most recent role at MN Comeback, Cay led their strategic work to braid policy, programmatic, and funder resources to the most urgent talent needs identified by school leaders. Previously Cay and her family lived in New Orleans for 18 years where she worked in a variety of educational leadership roles with school districts and non-profit education organizations. Cay earned her B.A. degree from Macalester College, and an MPA and an MA in Geography from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
