Our Team
Christy Kujawa
Christy Kujawa has been serving Minneapolis Public Schools for over 10 years as a Parent and Family Educator. In that role, she has designed and facilitated countless classes and workshops for parents and caregivers as well as staff, developed new curriculum, launched a social media presence, and has helped grow the department into elementary schools across the district. She is also the founder of Nurturing with Neuroscience, an organization that provides workshops for all caregivers on a variety of topics related to the health and well-being of children and families.
Christy is passionate about education, support, and community. She believes in sharing evidence-based, scientific research, offering best practices, allowing families to make the most informed decisions possible when it comes to their children. She also believes that every family is on their own unique journey and what the “right choice” is, looks differently for all. She believes all parents deserve this kind of support and that all children thrive when their grown-ups have these needs met.
Prior to her work in education, Christy was in the field of communications as a freelance journalist, writing about music, art, and education. She lives in Minneapolis, MN with her husband, two children and two dogs.
