Eliza Skinner O’Meara
she • her • hers
Eliza joined World Savvy in December 2018 as the Bay Area Executive Director and is currently the Executive Director of Special Projects & Culture. Originally from the Boston area, Eliza relocated to the West Coast in 2012 and fell in love with the outdoors, culture, and winter-free life that the Bay Area offers. Since Eliza’s move to the Bay, she spent six years of her career at Year Up Bay Area where she started as an Events Specialist and ascended to lead the Bay Area Development Team. Most recently, Eliza served as the Year Up Bay Area Director of Development where her primary responsibilities were to steer market fundraising and manage the regional Development team. In addition, she oversaw all regional events, volunteer programs, and was a member of the Bay Area Leadership Team.
During her time at Year Up, she found her passion for work that engages community-minded individuals and connects corporate and nonprofit organizations to create meaningful change in the world. With over 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Eliza is excited to join World Savvy and dig into the work of creating a world where all young people can learn, work, and thrive as responsible global citizens.
When Eliza isn’t working to create ‘meaningful change’, Eliza enjoys traveling, cooking, home decorating and exploring with her husband, Ben. Eliza received her Psychology B.S. and Italian Studies minor from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
