Fadesola Ojeikere is a Newark Public Schools Educator. An immigrant from Nigeria, Fade was raised in the Garden State, New Jersey, where he was fortunate enough to have a quality education; the same type of education that he continues to champion for the students of Newark New Jersey.
Fade attended and graduated from Seton Hall University in 2014 with a B.S. in International Relations and Diplomacy and a B.A. in Political Science. There, he was recruited by Teach for America where he spent two years teaching English Language Arts and Social studies to 5th and 7th graders at Dr. E. Alma Flagg. While there, he worked with a dynamic staff, coach, and principal to help make amazing educational opportunities for his students happen such as Google Expedition (a virtual reality field trip experience) and DreamWakers which connected his classroom with real-world professionals but also sponsored a trip to the White House for his students.
Currently, Fade teaches Social Studies at KIPP TEAM Academy Charter School to 6th graders and is a DreamWakers Teacher Fellow. His biggest belief is that students deserve an equitable education and through a community effort, no matter how big or small, the achievement gap will close.
