Liz Cummings Cervenka

Liz Cummings Cervenka (she/her) is a Professional Learning Facilitator in Minnesota.

With 15 years of experience in public education, leadership, and youth mentoring, Liz carries strong skills in relationship building and human centered leadership. Her passion for youth development and inclusive systems work has helped impact programming across K-12 schools and Youth Mentoring organizations to better serve diverse communities. She loves working with both young people and adults to build education spaces centered in the belief that all learners bring expertise in their lived experiences. She is an advocate for neurodiverse learners and a curriculum that honors the many cultures that are represented in any classroom. She is trained in STEAM-based education models with experience in project-based learning, social justice, and arts integration. She holds a BA in Music Education from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and an MA in Educational Leadership with a focus on culturally responsive classrooms from Concordia University – St. Paul.

Liz grew up outside Oakland, CA and the Twin Cities and studied in Wellington, New Zealand. She loves spending time with her family, reading, and cheering on the University of Minnesota Gopher Football team.
