Lynnea Atlas-Ingebretson

Lynnea has more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit and public administration – bringing a creative cultural competency and equity lens to innovate in areas of education, outdoor recreation, strategy design, and governance. Lynnea has 15 years of work in public K-12 and college public education in Minnesota and Colorado focused on increasing intercultural competency and success for diverse students, families, and faculty/staff.

Lynnea knows how to strategically disrupt, inspire, and motivate to shift and improve longstanding organizational cultures. Solution-oriented critique is one of Lynnea’s superpowers. Lynnea brings extensive and successful experience deploying capacity building programs in large public sector entities to small nonprofits. Lynnea joins World Savvy from Youthprise and currently serves as an appointed official as Council Member representing District 6 on the Metropolitan Council and the Liaison for the Metropolitan Parks Open Space Commission.

Lynnea holds a B.A. in and Certificate in Nonprofit Administration from Metropolitan State University of Denver, a Certification in Change Management from PROSCI, and Certification in Public Participation from the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) USA. In 2001, Lynnea received the Ron McKinley All My Relations Award from Minnesota Education Equity Partnership, and in 2007 Lynnea was named Woman of The Year at Metropolitan State University of Denver. While recognition is great Lynnea is inspired by a drive to be a part of positive change captured in this quote from Harriet Tubman, “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”
