Nik comes to World Savvy with a background in international education and nonprofit programming. After receiving a Bachelor’s in International Affairs from George Washington University, Nik taught English as a Foreign Language in South Korea. While in Korea, Nik developed a passion for education as a path to deepening cross-cultural and community ties. After teaching in Korea, Nik relocated to the Bay Area and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Migration Studies focusing on the intersections of climate change and forced displacement. Through this program, they have spent time working with migrants in transit in Mexico through service learning. With their background in education and area studies, Nik is a firm believer that education is key to global liberation. Outside of World Savvy, Nik is an avid gardener and enjoys “vegetarian-izing” any and all recipes.
