Virginia Mills

Talent development in all forms and bringing good ideas to fruition are key to Virginia’s motivations and experiences. As an executive coach, she helps others recognize, harness, and utilize their talents and resources for the betterment of themselves and their communities.

Virginia has been involved with entrepreneurial efforts for 30+ years. Her entrepreneurial impulse translates into seeing potential and working towards actualization. Her skill sets include marketing and messaging, visioning, and personnel management which were developed almost exclusively in start-up companies.

She also has 30+-years of experience in the non-profit environment. Virginia has served on a number of boards serving the Minneapolis community including St. David’s Center for Child and Family Development, Council of Churches, and served as President of The Junior League of Minneapolis.

She is a founding member and a past President of GIVING WoMN, a Twin Cities-based women’s philanthropic organization. She is also a founder of a national network of women’s philanthropic organizations all of which are dedicated to pooling funds and determining large scale grants to their own communities. Today this organization, Catalist, has 70+ affiliates in 26 states who collectively granted $120M into their communities in 2018.

A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Virginia earned a BA with Honors, Plan II from the University of Texas at Austin. She lives in Minneapolis and has 2 adult daughters.
