Event Update: Bay Area World Savvy Festival

March 10, 2020

The health and wellbeing of World Savvy Festival scholars, educators, and volunteers is our top priority. Due to the growing concern around the coronavirus (COVID-19), and in alignment with the best practices laid out by the CDC, WHO and other relevant entities, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Bay Area World Savvy Festival 2020, which was scheduled to take place on March 27 at Mills College.

Core to World Savvy’s educational approach is the opportunity for students to showcase work with an authentic audience. As innovation is in World Savvy’s DNA, we will leverage this strength to support engaging, learner-focused local events¬¬ this year without the risk of travel.

We are currently working with schools and educators to coordinate and provide resources and support to ensure students have a positive and high-quality experience at local school-based festivals.

If you were planning to volunteer at the Bay Area World Savvy Festival, please contact Whitney Larson at whitney@worldsavvy.org for more information about volunteering at local festivals.
