Educator Workshop: United Community for Inclusive Education

World Savvy and Somali Community Resettlement Services have partnered to create the United Community for Inclusive Education project through generous support from the Bush Foundation. Aimed at creating supportive and inclusive communities and schools for Somali youth, the partnership will bring together student and educator cohorts together to learn with and from each other.
Rochester and Faribault 6-12th Grade Educators! Participate in a cohort with educators from Rochester and Faribault. Be introduced to World Savvy’s Knowledge-to-Action model, grounded in Project-Based Learning and Design Thinking, in the service of creating more inclusive, student-centered learning environments.
In this two-day workshop participants engage in hands-on learning experiences as they are introduced to World Savvy’s education approach, including World Savvy Case Studies – an inquiry-based protocol for building background knowledge on a significant global issue and the Knowledge-to-Action(K2A) design process which uses a design thinking methodology to propose solutions to local issues.
