Letter from Andrew Minck

Dear World Savvy Community,
As World Savvy embarks upon expansion of our leadership team toward growth and our 2030 Vision, I would like to announce that I am transitioning out of my current, full-time Director of Finance and Administration role at the end of this summer. After some reflection on my desired career trajectory, I have decided to dive fully into my own consulting business, as a fractional finance director for nonprofits across my community – which will include World Savvy, so I am not going far! World Savvy’s staff and board have been extremely supportive in my decision, though it was tough to leave full-time employment at such a great organization. Being on World Savvy’s staff has been a very rewarding experience for the past two and a half years. I feel that World Savvy’s mission of empowering youth to be engaged global citizens is more crucial now than at any other time in my lifetime, and I feel fortunate to be able to continue to work toward this mission in a more focused capacity.
As I transition, great opportunities are opening up at World Savvy. We are hiring a Chief of Staff who will be a visionary and operational executive to grow our organization to impact even more educators and students. Once they are on board, I intend to work for them as a consultant as the fractional Finance Director. Also open is a new role, Minnesota’s inaugural Executive Director. This role will oversee development, program operations, and community engagement in my home state and allow our national staff to operationalize our overall growth plan.
It has truly been a pleasure to be part of the World Savvy staff, and I look forward to remaining a part of the World Savvy family in my new role.
Yours truly,
Andrew Minck – he/him/his
Director of Finance and Administration
