Molly Carina Dengler

she • her • hers

A product of Minneapolis K-12 public education, Molly is returning after 20 years of learning and serving in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Honduras, Argentina and Germany. After earning her BA from Wesleyan University in Latin American Studies and Spanish, Molly was accepted into the NYC Teaching Fellows program and graduated with an MA in Bilingual Special Education from Brooklyn College. An advocate for service-learning, she was able to create a schoolwide framework for interdisciplinary community-based applied learning as a founding teacher for a NYC dual language school’s Collaborative Team Teaching model. A deep interest in her students’ home country of the Dominican Republic coupled with a transformative college study abroad experience led her to take on the role of Dominican Republic Country Director for Global Glimpse, leading over 2,000 US high school students and teachers to expand their global perspectives through experiential learning. At the start of the pandemic, Molly left a network of over 300 inspiring local partners, bachata and sancocho to introduce her family to her hometown of Minneapolis.

She is thrilled to join the World Savvy team to continue to confront educational inequity after serving as the Assistant Principal of Student Services of a north Minneapolis public charter school over the past year.
