The Profile of a Graduate Process

Profile of a Graduate is a facilitated, year-long program led by World Savvy and grounded in community voice. The process unfolds in three intentional phases.

Phase 1

Community Engagement

Listening to those closest to the work

World Savvy facilitates listening sessions with educators, students, families, and community members to understand what graduates need to thrive in today’s world.

Together, communities explore questions such as:

What skills and mindsets matter most for our students?
What does success after graduation truly look like?
How should schools prepare young people for work, community, and life?

This phase ensures the vision reflects lived experience—not assumptions.

Data & Drafting

Turning insight into a shared vision

World Savvy synthesizes community input, survey data, and district priorities to identify the core skills, competencies, and dispositions every graduate should demonstrate.

Using this data, World Savvy partners with district leaders to draft a Profile of a Graduate that is clear, grounded, and aligned with local context.

Creating a living, guiding framework

World Savvy finalizes and designs a polished Profile of a Graduate that districts can share publicly and use internally.

The Profile becomes a reference point for:
