Dear World Savvy Community,
Education is at an inflection point. World Savvy is helping shape what comes next.
For more than two decades, we have partnered with educators, schools, students, and communities to help young people navigate complexity, build connection, and prepare for the future they are inheriting. Today, that work has never been more important.
Schools are experiencing student disengagement, rapid technological change, increasing polarization, and growing questions about what young people need to thrive in an AI-influenced world. At the same time, families, employers, and communities are asking schools to prepare students not only for academic success, but for life, work, and civic participation.
At the end of this year, CEO Hamse Warfa has decided to pass the baton to the next leader, following a period of transformational leadership. Together with our Board of Directors and staff, Hamse has helped strengthen World Savvy's strategic direction and position the organization for continued growth and long-term impact. We are deeply grateful for his leadership and his commitment to our mission during an important chapter of our history.
Our future remains firmly rooted in the vision established by co-founders Dana Mortenson and Madiha Murshed more than two decades ago: every young person deserves an education that prepares them to understand the world, engage with complexity, and make a meaningful difference within it. While education has changed dramatically since World Savvy was founded, that vision is more relevant today than ever.
We also have greater clarity about the role World Savvy can play. Schools need learning that connects academics to authentic challenges. Students need opportunities to build the durable skills that matter most in college, careers, civic life, and an increasingly AI-shaped world. Educators need trusted partners who can help them navigate change with confidence.
That is where World Savvy will continue to lead. In the years ahead, we will deepen partnerships with schools and districts, expand community-connected learning, strengthen student readiness, and collaborate across the education sector to help redefine what it means to prepare young people for the future.
Throughout this leadership transition, our commitment to our educators, students, school partners, supporters, and communities remains unwavering. World Savvy is financially strong, strategically focused, and deeply committed to delivering high-quality support to the schools and communities we serve.
As we look toward our next chapter, we do so with gratitude for all that has brought us here, and with confidence that the best of World Savvy's work is still ahead.
The future belongs to young people who can think critically, collaborate across differences, adapt with confidence, and lead with purpose. Together, we are helping build that future.
